Chicken heartbeat sound

Hi everyone,

I have built my incubator and I am tying up some loose ends. I have a tiny mp3 player with speakers that I purchased on amazon for around 8$. It will play the files on an sd card in order, when switched on. My plan is to only have a few files on the sd card so it will repeat them for infinity. This leads me to my quandary, I cannot seem to find a file of the sound of an actual chicken's heart beating. A chickens heart beats at 280-315 beats per minute and I suppose i could speed up any old heartbeat sound but i was hoping to find the real thing for the sake of realism in my project(im not sure a chicken has a heart with 4 chambers ill look it up though). Does any craz...i mean normal chicken person out there happen to have an .mp3 of a chicken heartbeat haha.

I have already worked out various methods of limiting the impact putting such a debatable and probably toxic product inside of my incubator. I genuinely feel like the risk of the toxic electronics hurting the embryo somehow while using some method of isolation is low and worth the reward of mimicking real life under a broody hen.

I don’t actually have an incubator, just broody hens but thought this was a great idea!

I wonder if the developing chicks within the egg can hear mum’s heart beating?

Anyways, apologies that I do not have a recording of a chicken’s heart beat but I am subscribing because I am intrigued as to whether there are any craz… uuum, normal chicken people who do

Edited to Add: Just a thought .. Assuming you have an adult chicken. If you could get your hands on a stethoscope, you could rig up a recording device on the ear end and make your own recording.

Thanks for the reply. I do have a stethoscope and a recording thing and i suppose i could be that nerdy but surely if someone out there loves chickens the most they have to have a chicken heartbeat sound recording!!! right?! My shopmate says I should hatch some with classical music and then some with death metal music to see how it affects them.

For some reason I just got the idea to scan my chickens butts on a copy machine too. One thing at a time!

Perhaps i should find some composer who will write me a 21 day soundtrack. It's all very boring and then very dramatic in the final hours lol "i believe i can flyyyyyyy". Who knows maybe they are having struggles in there. Maybe there needs to be the occasional suspense, sorrow, joy. Maybe the heartbeat needs to get weaker over time because single mother of 41 would be having a very hard time lasting 21 days without food. It's all Greek to me I just dont want to screw up and play giraffe heartbeat or something.

Well nobody so far has been cuckoo enough to lend me their chicken heartbeat so here is an image of my incubator project.

I wanted an incubator, I dont have the ability to turn the eggs on a regular schedule, I design and build ovens and other equipment as a hobby so when i realized that i could build my own for less than purchasing a styrofoam auto-turning incubator I had to. I added some things that push the price a little higher like double pane tempered glass, indicator lights, cece caldwell's voc free paint and Eco wood finish on the wood for the cabinet but if one was to fore-go such options and has the time to build things an Automatic incubator can be built for a fair price.

The easiest fix for not having a heartbeat sound is going to be speeding up another heartbeat sound to fit my needs. If i come up with something I will post a link here in case anyone wants to try the same thing
