So about 2 mo ago my chicken was taken by a fox he ended up getting about 50 yards with her and then dropped her after I chased him there were no visible signs of bites she was fine physically but after that she would not come out of the coop understandably. About a week ago I found her in her pen and her back was badly hen pecked and she was just sitting there. I ckeaned her wound and Applied silver honey and then applied Curicyn since her back was so red. She did well with that for a couple of days then started picking the dry mud off her back I switched to Neosporin and have a been applying that twice a day after cleaning her wound daily her wound is not as red as it was but just wondering if there is anything else I should be doing to help her back she is in the house and separated from the rest of them.

I swear by Verericyn. Start by cleaning the wound with https://vetericyn.com/product/vetericyn-plus-poultry-care/?attribute_size=8oz
or https://vetericyn.com/product/vetericyn-plus-all-animal-wound-and-skin-care/?attribute_size=3oz (I think the only difference is pH, but the "All animal wound and skin care" is fine for birds too)

Then, spray the Vetericyn Hydrogel on 3-4 times a day. I have experience with horrible wounds healing fairly quickly and well using these sprays. Things that should have become infected stayed healthy. The downside of honey is gunk gets stuck in it, but this hydrogel stays clean.

Recently, I found out that birds can suffer from anxiety disorders caused by trauma. You may need to assume this is happening with your hen as she's acting like she is still reeling, poor thing. We just support our hen and give her a little extra attention, scrambled eggs, quiet time....whatever it is yourd wants/needs to feel confident again.

There could be bruising and crush injuries that are very difficult to see.

Also, there may be a little extra work needed to reintroduce her back to her flock, especially if there are certain breeds/temperaments involved.

Sounds like you're trying your best to help in recovery. Keep loving and supporting her, they do understand and feel it. We always feel better when we know we're in good hands 💚

Lots of well wishes for you and your flock!
