I'm really hoping someone can help me. I already have one sick chicken in the house recuperating and I'm not really sure what was wrong with her. Now my 9 month old Speckled Sussex is exhibiting strange behavior. I have a camera in the coop and when I checked the videos this morning, she was up a lot last night looking like she had hiccups or was going to vomit. (Do chickens even vomit? I'm so confused) She stopped laying about a month ago, but I figured that's because she is molting pretty bad.
For background info, my other sick girl is a Buff Orpington who had an overly outstretched neck with fluffed out feathers and couldn't lift her head up Tuesday. If I lifted it up it would slowly fall back down until her beak was resting on the ground. She wasn't eating or drinking. I brought her in the house and gave her Nutridrench. The first day she got back upright but looked like she had a big bulge under her head with her feathers still puffed out. After 2 days of force feeding her, so has perked back up and is now eating and drinking.
I'm including a picture of my BO the first day she was sick and the video of my SS from last night. I'm really hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction to make sure my girls are ok. Any help would be much appreciated!

I wasn't able to see much of your vid. d/t c***** internet connection. So here's a few questions for you - is her crop distended? does her breath smell rancid when you smell it? what has she been eating recently?
You mentioned a lump under her head this could possibly be an impacted or sour crop.
There is a great article on the Learning center here about it, type 'impacted crop' under article seach and it will pop up, the article is by Two Crows. please read and see if it fits what is happening to your girl.
Chickens don't vomit...:sick
Please keep us posted - hope this helps a bit,

Thank you so much for your reply. I don't think I was very clear about which chicken was which in my original post so I amended it. My SS was the one making the hiccuping/vomiting motion last night. This morning she is eating and drinking and seems to be fine.
My BO that had the distended neck and then the bulge had an empty crop initially when she couldn't lift her head up.
Thanks for answering my vomit question! The motion she was making just immediately reminding me of trying to vomit.

Sounds like possibly sour crop or botulism. U said there was a bulge under her head...if the crop does not empty properly...there can be a " ballon" like appearance. It will fill swishy/mushy.
