Hey everyone my name is Julie, I’m a Chicken lover and I’ve been involved with raising chickens my entire life. It’s a lot different when you’re an adult an doing it! My husband I started a backyard chicken flock about 5 years ago! I currently have 19 grown hens and one grown rooster, 14 teenagers, 4 in the brooder, and 12 in the incubator due anytime! We just started cross breeding this year and it has been quite fun! Trying to build our flock back up before winter because we lost 9 this past winter due to a neighborhood nuisance dog. My chickens free range on 3 acres of property and all of them are my little friends! My rooster, I love, he is a rescue, second rooster to our flock. My other one got killed. I was spurred when I was a kid so roosters still freak me out a little bit. I definitely do not cuddle with him like I do my girls! Nice to meet everyone and proud to part of this group! I will help answer any questions if anyone needs any help and I’m sure I will have plenty of questions to ask myself!!!
