Chicken hole!

Hello,

Nearly all my walls are up on the 3 tier coop!

Next I'm cutting the holes in the floor to attatch the ramps on to, to get to the lower level.

I'm not sure how big to cut them. There isnt much floor space so ideally they'd be as small as possible. I'm getting Miniature bantam Silkies, but want the hole to be big enough so that regular bantam Silkies can use it.

I've not kept chickens before, so if anyone could give me a rogh guide I'd be really grateful.

I've no experience with chickens that size so will not even hazard a guess. Maybe this will bump you to someone's attention that has experience.

Our standard-size hens have a pop door 15" high and 12" wide. 12" x 12" would have been plenty, so I think that if you have them about 30 cm x 30 cm you'll be in the correct range.
