Found out that theyThey're Game Birds. Both definitely cockerels
I found out that those are jungle fowl mixes!I got these three from a local feed store I know the black one is a Jersey giant for sure but I was told the other two were ISA Browns but now that they are older they dont look like them to me. I was hoping for ideas on what they could be. I was thinking the darker one could be a Welsummer and the lighter one maybe a starlight green egger but I really dont know. *update* I do know that they are all femalea. When I purchased them I made sure and the store was only carrying pullets. They are also about 6 to 8 weeks oldView attachment 2166310View attachment 2166312View attachment 2166313View attachment 2166407

Yeah my local feed store is cool its run buy a local small farmer and a lot of the people who work there are family of his. One of the employees raises them and provided the chicks. I traded the rooster back to her for some Plymouth chicks and the other one for a jungle fowl mix henReally? From a feed store?
If they don’t come from a hatchery, I could believe that. My initial doubt was due to the fact that gamefowl and junglefowl aren’t common at hatcheries.Yeah my local feed store is cool its run buy a local small farmer and a lot of the people who work there are family of his. Yeah I guess everything they had came from the hatcheries hoover and mypetchicken I believe except that batch of chicks from the jungle fowl mix lady. The hen I traded for is nice very sweet and loves my Jersey Giant. Definitely flighty though. The woman who raises them says that they are broody but didnt mention how many eggs they lay so hopefully she lays well.If they don’t come from a hatchery, I could believe that.
