Last night I went to shut chickens up and one appeared to have fallen from roost, was laying with her head cocked to the side pressed against the wall. If she wouldn’t have been breathing heavy I would have thought she was dead by the way she was laying. I examined her and tucked her away in a cubby under the nesting boxes with water. This morning she had moved a little and was still laying the way they do when they nest. I just went to check on her again and she was to one side angled in an unusual way again. I can’t find any specific signs of what could be wrong. I don’t want her to suffer but I don’t want to give up to early either. What can I do?
