Chicken in hot weather

Misters help in DRY heat, but are useless or even worse than useless in high humidity.
Ahh, I didn't consider humidity. I suppose I could always try it if the humidity is low and skip if it's high. Might be more helpful in OP's climate than New England, which can be very muggy in the summer. I'm curious to see how the chickens handle this weekend (how crazy is this: yesterday was in the 50's, tomorrow is going to be in the 90's).
 
If you do a shallow aluminum chafing dish you can get a big one at Smart and Final for cheep add ice with water. They can drink it to stay cool or stand in it. I dipped there feet in it first so they got the idea of what to do and now my gens love it when it gets hot out.
