Chicken in shock(?)

Thank you for asking, I nearly forgot to update!

So for pretty much the entire day she just lazily stood around in her temp cage.

When I woke up the first thing I did was try to give her water (tried the 1st method I did), but the water I got her to drink she just spit it up. I think she spit it up possibly because she might've already drank water on her own at some point and it was just excess water.

I left the water in the cage for her and left her alone the rest of the day.

Afternoon rolls around and I noticed she spilt her water so I took it out. Later I then gave her hydro-hen water with a syringe, she didn't drink a lot of it but she did get some down. Now she's just laying down in her cage.

I actually tried to offer her some mush (wet chicken crumble) and she seemed interested in eating but didn't bite.

I looked her over for blood or if there were any points on her body that hurt with pressure but there wasn't really anything out of the ordinary.
She's not able to take in water?

Is her crop empty or full?

At this moment it feels like there's a little something in there but not a whole lot.

I gave her a better water bowl and she drank from it on her own. I also gave her some crumble and she ate a little of that too.

OH YEAH
she also laid an egg today

idk If that's important-
Is she moving about a little now and seemingly doing better?
It's great that she's drank on her own and is eating a little. Laying the egg is good too.

It really does seem like shes getting better. For the past 2 nights she's been sleeping on the ground of her cage but just earlier when I checked on her she was sleeping on her roost bar so I think she's slowly improving :)

Update for anyone interested:

It really did seem like things were getting better, but now it looks like she hit a wall in her path.

She doesn't roost anymore and she always seems down. I took her out today so she could get some fresh air although she still looks depressed.

She can walk but she occasionally loses balance and nearly falls. She makes very slow movements and I'm worried this might be a sign of neurological issues. I'm unsure of what to do :(

Would bringing her to a vet be an option for you?

it's a very unlikely option:

1. PoultryDMV lists only one poultry vet in my entire area and I have yet to see if it's true so if it isn't I'm s out of luck.

2. Unfortunately it isn't up to me to take her to the vet. I don't have a job or license yet so I'd have to rely on my parents and they don't think a chicken is worth receiving veterinarian care.

What have you been feeding and giving her to drink since you got her over the first hill?

I give her hydro-hen then switch to regular water every 12hr.

At first I'd just gave her adult crumble but she showed interest in eating her original food again (Nutrena NatureWise All Flock) so I've been giving her that and she's been eating it.

Today I did offer her some mashed up boiled eggs and she ate a good bit of it.
