My chicken is around 3 years old. She randomly started acting really weird about a day ago. Her lower stomach area is really bloated and squishy. She wants to walk and be with the others but she’s really slow and can’t keep up and she doesn’t walk normal. I only get 3 eggs a day with 7 chickens so idk who’s laying eggs and who isn’t. I have had other chickens get sick in the past and I left them in the coop and they were fine staying with the others but this time overnight she was attacked so I put her in a bucket with a heating lamp with food water and a nice bed. The wounds will be fine but I’m still concerned about the bloating. She isn’t able to lay down. I check on her ever thirty minutes if I can and I try and feed and water her she does eat and drink a little.

It sounds like she could have ascites (water belly) or egg yolk peritonitis. Cancer is also common. You or a vet could try to drain some fluid from her abdomen with an 18 gauge needle and large syringe from the feed store. That might help reduce the pressure to make it easier for her to lie down and breathe. You can spray her wounds with Vetericyn or use some saline to clean them, and apply some plain antibiotic ointment twice a day. Try to get her to eat and drink, and some scrambled egg or wet chicken feed may be accepted.

take her to the vet please!!!! this most likely isn't treatable at home and she is going to suffer. she needs a vet to help this is not humane to let her suffer.
