My chicken is getting pecked by all other chickens. What do I do? I'm new at this.

Is she new? They are probably establishing a pecking order? What breeds are involved? Certain breeds can't take as much harassment as others. If it gets too bad you might have to separate her to let her recover before you try again.

There's some tarry stuff you can get down at the feed store to put on her head. Start feeding them all more protein for awhile (crushed hard boiled eggs, a little cat food). Do this every day for 2-3 days, then every other day for awhile. Then once a week. Get a flock block down at the feed store. The main thing is give them protein and give them other things to 'pick at' besides her. Make their coop, run more interesting. Some people will hang a cabbage. Place water and food in two different places so the one being picked on won't get starved/dehaydrated. If it's safe to free range at your place, chickens always get along better when they do and the pressure's off for the picked on one if they stay with the coop.

BTW, they will kill her if this is allowed to carry on. The tarry stuff (Rooster Booster Pic-No-More) helps because it tastes bad. It won't do it all though. You need to follow up on my other suggestions and you may need to sequestor one or two of the bullies for awhile. Usually one or two get the gang mentality going.

Best way is to put her in a separate area where the other hens can't get to her but such that they can still see each other. It helps them get used to each other without her getting attacked.
We've also put bullied hens in a neutral are with 1-2 of the less aggressive hens to help re-integrate them. 1/2 hr or so a day in this situation is fine.
