Chicken is holding his head down, pic, Wont Take the POLYVISOL

OMG I COULDN'T GET ON THE INTERNET FAST ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU GUYS A STATUS UPDATE. Yesterday my blue silkie was tucking his head in between his leggs, I was for sure he was progressively getting worst, UNTIL I got home today.. We have our Head up, still tucking but not like yesterday, yesterday that's all we did in fact he wouldn't eat because he just kept tucking. Today, I brought home some maggots and we went to town.. 3 containers later and we finally got full, but keep in mind he didn't eat all three containers of maggots. He had about 1/2 of a container without tucking our head between our legs.. I felt his crop and it was actually full. Unlike the past 3 days where there was nothing... I'm still doing the polyvisol a drop 3 times a day with Vitamin E and electrolytes in water... I realize I'm not off the hook yet but I'm really super glad we are looking a lot better. Here's what he looks like today... The box in the background is there Dirt bath box and right now he is quietly sitting in it. I 'm SOOOO glad on his improvement.....

I thank you sooooo much for being there every step of the way.... You have been wonderful. It's a horrible sight when you see your baby down and out. But you have been great with all the advice...

here we are eating our maggots, we only get this treat once a week... So we enjoy while we can. ha ha The great thing is we are up eating, not laying down to eat... He seemed to have a fever yesterday and today I believe the fever broke...

I don't know how much help I was but you were the one that stuck by him and keep going, it makes it all worth while when we see one start coming around. Now your work continues as you keep doing what you've been doing.. And we hope for a full recovery..

Ok he's been pecking at the food every since I got home and I have been home for about 3 1/2 hours. Do you think he's really eating that much or just pecking. I was just in there watching him and he still is having episodes. Episodes meaning he tucks his head in between his legs. I started counting it takes about 15 minutes in between each episode and the episodes are lasting 5 seconds or less. After each episode he goes right back into the food dish eating or pecking...

Well at least he is having periods where he's not tucking so thats good. He's not out of the woods so to speak but he's making progress, as far as pecking or eating what his crop look like? Do you know if he got a peck on the head? if it's neurological the pecking could be part of it. just guess of course. Hopefully it will continue to progress but I think it is going to take some time. What ever your doing keep it up!!
