Help!!!!!!!My 4 year old cinnamon queen is wheezing all of a sudden with every breath she takes. This started just today when I went to check them. But other than that shes fine, no runny nose she looks perfectly healthy other than that. i did put de and permethrin powder all in there coop for mites, I’m thinking that might be the reason, not sure.

Thanks 🙏

she’s good, when I found her like that I was giving my flock bread and her wheezing was way worse then because she was running around. But when she’s resting you can barely hear any wheezing.
The DE and Permethrin may have been an irritant.
I'd keep watch on her for a couple of days to see if this resolves on her own.

Wheezing while resting, she may have a little something else going on. Is her crop emptying? Does she have fluid in the abdomen?

Lucky, its been over 100 everyday for awhile now.
Ok well then Its probably not the heat. I have an EE pullet who makes so much nose when she's panting, its not wheezing or anything, just heavy panting.
Yea it’s great that it’s not to hot for the chickens. That must be miserable for ur chicks lol, I don’t think mine could even stand low 90s weather.

Yea I’m thinking about clearing out the bedding. Her crop seems to be like normal and her abdomen doesn’t look any different. I never thought of feeling her abdomen, when I go down to my coop I’ll make sure to give her a check.
