Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Today I made chicken jerky treats for the dogs. I cut chicken breasts to about 1/8" thick and spread out on lightly greased wire racks on a cookie sheet. Bake at 200 degrees for 3 to 4 hours until done to your liking. You could also use a food dehydrator if you have one. Cool and refrigerate. This one tray is equal to about 1 pound of chicken. Cheaper than store bought treats, no additives and not made in China! The dogs love them!
