Chicken just died. CpR?

Please help our polish rooster just died as if he were choking, what can i do to bring him back, emergancy!

His wattles are now purple, is there any thing i can do to save him, HELP?

Open his beak, look down his throat and see if there is something obstructing his windpipe. If so remove it. Both hands on each side of his body a couple of quick compressions might dislodge something caught in his trachea. All that said, it sounds like it may be a heart attack. Good luck.

We looked down his throat and found nothing, we are pressing his heart and doing CPR.

It might sound gross but did you try mouth to mouth maybe that could work?

That is what we have been doing for the past 30 minutes, I think he is gone, What can cause heart attcks in chickens?

CPR will only be a good choice if it is done at the moment of cardiac arrest. You posted 12 mins after the event I am sorry but it wont help after that long.

Stress, overweight, genetic predisposition, old age are just some of the factors that can cause heart attacks in chickens.

thank you all, we did CPR the moment he had died, I guess it was a heart attack. we have lost 7 chickens in the last week, Rest in Peace Isac, You were a grate, beautiful, and bold Rooster. I love you
