chicken keeps puking...

I know lots of info.. it is a clear slimy puke with no odor..

she was sneezing a bit earlier last week and I thought I herd her breathing kinda congested..


But today she is puking...

I have to go and get some feed today.. is there anything I can give her..

the other threads about chickens with colds recomend that.. but no one mentioned anything about puking along with the other stuff..

That is bad... very bad... Can chickens even throw up? Obviously... but never heard of it until now...

Ok so I just got her seperate from the other girls.. and I know she is not right.. I just offered her a piece of bread soaked in olive oil and she didnt touch it..

she ran to me like nummy treat and then didnt take a single bite.

Hm... possibly sour crop? We had a hen with sour crop and come to think of it she did burp up some clear mucus...

Do you have Pedialyte or gatorade? If not get some and use an eye dropper to keep that in her until someone with more knowledge can help.

Secondly, I have a chicken that is PIGLET when it comes to treats and she routinely vomits. I don't think it's that strange... It could be as simple as her getting ahold of something that really disagreed with her. Get that liquid down her - it can't hurt and will possibly help.

Okay, sounds like sour crop...

We held her upside down and massaged her crop until she burped. We continued until her crop didn't feel mushy and gassy anymore. There are probably other methods but this worked for us. Nasty stuff came out, but Penny was saved.
