I'm quite upset as of late due to a rash of bad circumstances. I've had 3 chickens die in the last week. Here is my situation:

I had what I consider an "incident" in the run. I don't know when it happened but I came in in the morning and 2 girls were limping. Shortly thereafter the worst one had gone paralyzed in the one leg then started showing the tell tale signs of Mareks. I separated her and attempted to treat her to no avail. She did not pull through. A few days later another started showing the tell tale signs of Mareks. This time I brought her to a vet who basically told me the paralysis is definitely neurological but if its viral it cannot be treated so I was given a broad spectrum of antibiotics in the event that it was a bacterial infection. I brought her home treated her in accordance with the vets instructions. She held on for a week or 2 then suddenly died overnight.

Meanwhile, while all this is happening, a third girl began knuckling her one foot. Basically curling it over and walking on the "wrist". Now it is BOTH feet. She can barely move. Although she makes it into the coop to lay her egg daily. She eats and drinks on her own, willingly. She seems otherwise healthy aside from a little loss of feathers on her back due to what I can only assume is her being pecked at before I separated her.

I would love to bring her back to the vet but the few time i have actually gone to a vet its been a death sentence. They either tell me they dont know or they throw medication out there and see if it works. Nothing is definitive.

I would love it if I could actually save this one. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes. I should have mentioned that. I did. Nothing visible that I can see. I also gentley checked those bones all the way up the thigh. Didnt feel anything out of the ordinary. Shes got a tad bit of the scales lifting but that is right where she is tryting to walk on the top side of her foot. Maybe I am missing something. I will post some pics in a few.

I have tries stretching her toes and also a makeshift splint but it came off in minutes. She weighs about 3-5lbs. Shes on the smaller side. Always has been.

Here are some pics
