My Coop
I have 25 chickens two roosters
These chickens have all grown up together since the brooder or two sets but days apart . They are now almost one year old . There’s this one chicken that they keep beating up . They bloody her whole head and I wash her put antibiotic ointment On it separate her and heal her up then let her back out. ( she was in a coop they could always see her) well things are great for months then she looks like this again! Why only her??? That’s one question ( I have others her exact kind and color)
The second question is I have babies in a brooder cage that everyone can see them but can’t get to them , they are about two months old fully feathered and there’s ten of them , I’m wondering could I put her in with them and then when I release them with her they will be her flock? Or will she kill them or all ten of them kill her?

I don’t know what to do

here’s the babies

Head feathers on polish are often the targets of non polish chickens..
Chickens are like that. They sometimes pick on who ever is different and polish cant see well and are quite mild mannered making them an even better target.
This is why i no longer have silkys or polish. I like them but can live without these problems.
Unfortunatly the more your polish is separated from the flock, the more of an outcast she will become . Saying that you really have to separate her at this point due to her injuries.
Lets talk about the amount of space your chickens have and how many chicken confined in that space. Over crouding often is why chickens peck at each other due to boredom.
Also how many more chicks are you going to integrate?

Is she your only polish? It can be hard sometimes to mix polish with non-crested breeds. I would keep her separately. They will peck the skull open eventually and kill her. I wouldn't add her to the chicks currently.

She is probably low in the pecking order or you don't have enough space for all those hens,or you don't enough feeders and water stations for all of them, chickens high in the pecking order tend to love protecting feeders and water stations. As for putting it with the 2 month old,it totally depends on the behavior of the hen and the chicks.I myself tried putting a 10 month old mixed hen with 11 chicks that were 4 months old,my hens kept attacking the poor hen,was the same result with the chicks, chicks kept attacking a hen that was easily 4 times their size but they are mixed with game.it really depends on the breed and their aggressiveness,If it keeps happening, its worth the risk putting her with 2 months old,if that doesn't work just remove her from your flock.

I have other polish , yes many of them actually . I also have one exactly like her that’s never touched ! The other polish are never touched!
I definitely have enough space
I don’t know why they are doing it to just her .
I do know separating her can cause her to be even more of a victim but in this condition I don’t have a choice .

She could be more meek or odd acting, and attracts more unwanted attention. I keep my polish crests trimmed so they can see other birds coming.

mom now that could be it , she’s odd she runs around screaming . They all do that when they lay and egg or they all did it when they were coming into sexual maturity , however she just walks around being loud , she has since puberty, other then that she’s great and normal .
I trim my polish’s hair also

Just for some back story or facts

I have three golden laced polish, two white crested polish ( like her), 6 buff head polish, and a silver laced polish.
May other chickens are a mild breed also, I did that on purpose . They are buff orpingtons , except one Easter egger that’s calm as can be and a spitshauben.
My run is 459 square footage and I have a two room coop and those are 72 and 167!square foot

I have ten babies and four eggs under a hen
I am enlarging again soon
no one is ever picked on in this whole year, just her.
what should I do

That can attract more pecking. The instinct of chickens is to drive out or kill odd acting birds. I assume to get rid of sick or diseased birds. That's my theory anyways, of why some end up targeted over others, and why it seems random, but often isn't.
