I was feeding the chickens when I saw my barred rock laying an egg so I was watching her.
When the egg was about to come out I put my hand out to catch the egg.
It landed in my hand with no shell?
It probably laid that kind of egg before because it was trying to peck it and possibly eat it!
This Happened to another hen I had too.
I know there getting enough oyster shell, I put it in there food and on a piece of wood for them.
The other chickens lay nice hard shelled eggs.
Its feels like a membrane with calcium sprinkled on it.
I would like you tell me the reason this happened?
And you can tell me if this has happened to you.
Thanks,
G
