can anyone help translate or give tips on chicken language how do you tell when there happy or mad or anything at all Im a first timer here i have RIR and white rocks

Just spend time with them watching their body language and how they react with each other. You'll learn a lot that way.

I agree with Carri.


My laying hens have several different words, or bawks. I swear I can tell what they
are saying most of the time.

I'm not even sure how to type them to pronounce them.

"danger" - Higher pitched, fast
"Let me out" - Medium pitched, medium speed Bawwwkkkk bawkkkkkkk
"I'm laying an egg" - slow and lower pitched boowwwwwwwwk
"Get out of the egg box" - the same thing we sound like when someone is in the bathroom


My favorite is my call to them. Gok Gok Gok Gok Gok Gok Gok - Quick with a medium to
high pitch. You have to see them come running
