Chicken laws in NJ

cherry hill is going to outlaw chickens soon. Already working on it according to a little bird who works there. People with chickens will be grandfathered in, but.... that is all I know so far.

Thanks Leena, I'm constantly on the internet researching things, so much so that I'm confusing myself with all that I have read. lol I will try reaching out to the Haddon Township's committee and check out the Facebook page, too. I came across someone on the internet who was able to change his ordinance up North Jersey, but clicked out of the site before bookmarking it. I'm sure I'll come across it again... I hope.

Thanks pinebarrensbrew, Before I can present anything to anyone, I have to do more research. I'm sure there will be lots of questions and I want to be prepared to answer. Are you from Beachwood? If people in Beachwood would stand together, then maybe something can be done. Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone else from Beachwood who wants Chickens. Even my own husband isn't thrilled with the idea. lol

I believe in Northern NJ it was either Maplewood NJ or Montclair NJ that just started allowing chickens under a pilot type of program.

Hello Doeas any one now if I am allow to have chickens in Manville NJ (somerset county)? I can't find anything on the internet. I would like to have 5 chickens. Thank you

so do I need a permint if it's not for commercial purposes? Can I raise chickens or not?
