Chicken Laws in Pinehurst NC

Anyone here from Pinehurst, NC? Our 2 pet chickens were recently reported and we had to give them away, even though the Municipal Code defines them as domestic.

I know this post was written several years ago, but did you ever find out the laws about backyard chickens in Pinehurst, NC? We live there too and would love to have toe or three hens, but don't want to break the law..

Hello, They're not currently allowed, but a small group of citizens both there and whispering pines are trying to get backyard hens legalized. You can learnmore at www.afewgoodhens.com (The neighboring towns of Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Vass, and Carthage all allow backyard flocks. )
