That is why there is a higher risk of trisomy babies and other defects when a woman becomes pregnant later in life. Those eggs aren't as viable as the eggs that were released during her prime childbearing years.Some say chickens have X number of eggs in their lifetime to lay.
What bill said !It is not unusual for them to sometimes lay 2 eggs in one day when they are pullets as well as laying a double yolk. She should stop as she gets older.
