Chicken laying eggs w/no shell.....now chicken is gone

I had one of my girls die this morning..........the last week she has been laying eggs with no shells.....no eating....and acting like she is tired all the time. She just stands there and closes her eyes like shes going to sleep. I found her this a.m. when I went to feed them. Can anyone help me with this or tell me which website to look at. I want to know what to do next time for my other girls....or if it's anything that my other girls might get. Chicken is 1 1/2 years old......she is a californian white. There are 3 other girls and they show no signs of her symptons.
