Chicken lays eggs well before she was due

Hi all! We have just recently started raising chickens (in the past 4 months or so) from the time they were only a week old. When we first got them we were told they would begin laying around October. However, we have noticed that one chicken has already begun laying eggs while the rest have yet to start laying. She also seems to have matured more than the others, yet they hatched at the same time. Is this normal? And what should we expect from our other chickens? Might they too begin laying before they were expected? Thank you for your help!

Chickens can start laying at any time when they are mature. If your other pullets become mature early too, then you can expect eggs sooner but it varies for any chicken and other animals as well.
