My chicken yesterday seemed ok then later on was lethargic, almost face down in the coop. I picked her up, showed no apparent injuries. Gave her some water hand fed her that, I put her in one of my nesting boxes last night. This morning she still looked uncomfortable, tried to get her to eat to no avail, and got her to drink a little. I have seen merek's before didn't look like this but she doesn't want to stand up and was closing her eyes looking awful. I read some posts and thought she might be egg bound but i could not find an egg in there. I put her in a warm tub, gave her some tums and then once i could not find an egg inside of her, I thought maybe she has merek's and it's just looking different. I then gave her st. John's wort and some more water in a dropper and put her in a separate coop. No idea if there's anything else i can do but there's no local vets that see chickens. Any insight would be appreciated.

How old is she? Was she vaccinated? Can you see if she will eat some chopped egg, and some feed mixed with water? Add some vitamins with electrolytes to her water, or give her some NUtriDrench or Poultry Cell 2-3 ml daily. Feel of her crop, and again in early morning to see if it is empty, partly full, hard, soft, or puffy. Tell us what her droppings.

I have a chick at 6weeks doing the same...also she is drooling..

I have one standing with eyes closed. Her stools are runny/slimy. Unsure of eggs due to 8 other hens laying in 2 of the same areas, trying to figure out who is laying what. She was fine yesterday, today she's been acting weird.
