That's a louse, miserable little critters too.
In the future, if you decide to get any birds aside from hatchery chicks, plan to at least look hard and treat for mites and lice.

No, mine were northern fowl mites.

ANY dust is not good to inhale! DE is also bad, or worse, in those circumstances. And the dust in poultry houses is nasty too. The birds are wonderful, but like everything, there are things to consider when working with them.
