Hey guys, last Sunday I noticed that my Barred Rock, Rocky was limping, a really weird kind of limp where she raises her injured leg in the air and really high before putting it down and hopping on her normal foot. My first thought was Mareks, because we’ve had two birds die from it and I know it can affect walking. But thankfully I didn’t find any tumors on her and it turned out to just be a scabby sort of thing under her right leg. She was completely healthy otherwise so I figured it would go away. I’ve checked on her throughout the week to see how things are going and while there was no improvement that I could see, she definitely hasn’t gotten any worse. Since Sunday is their free range day, I made them a nice treat of oatmeal, grapes and a few pieces of meat for extra protein and Rocky came out along with the rest of them, flew over to the bowl and started gobbling it all up. Afterwards she hopped around outside with the other girls and pecked at the ground like she would normally do. My mom and I picked her up and checked under her leg and the big scab was still there. It doesn’t look or smell infected but it’s definitely causing her some discomfort so I figured that since it did not go away since last week I should probably put something on it or figure out what to do. Any ideas of what could relieve her pain? I have some vet wrap so I could always wrap her leg up in that so it’s not rubbing? Thanks for any ideas/suggestions!

I wouldn't wrap it.
Some good clear pics of the wound might help assess what it is and what should be done.
Hard to do I know, you'll need some help and some good lighting.
Video of her funky gait would help too.

@aart I’m sorry this was as clear as I could get before my phone died and Rocky flew away. It doesn’t give perspective as to where the wound is so I drew the area that it is in. Also, the scab is larger than what is showing, but it looks the same the whole way through.
