hi, I have a 2 1/2 yr old white leghorn hen and she is limping for some reason I don't know why. My husband and I felt all over her leg and foot and she didn't flinch. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Trouble walking in chickens can be due to a number or reasons, including:

Improper nutrition (usually vitamin related)
A sprain (perhaps from a rooster breeding with her or jumping from too high heights)
Tendon problems
Bumblefoot
Marek's or some other disease resulting in partial paralysis
Egg-binding

I hope this helps and I hope she gets better soon. Best of luck!

She may also have a simple problem, that limiting her exercise may heal. By that I mean confine her to a small area or crate, so she doesn't do any running, jumping or flying. Sometimes a bad landing from a high roost can be the cause. If she just started limping, I would give her a few days to see if confinement helps.

Alright
