About a week ago I noticed my 17 week old buff orpington was limping. At first I checked her out didn’t see anything and figured maybe she just hurt herself jumping or something and that’d it go away in a few days. She’s eating, drinking, and pooping normal. She will still run for treats, but holds her leg up if she’s just standing and lays down to rest a lot more. She’s also been stepping on her foot and almost tripping herself. She seems to have full range of motion, I’ve seen her stretch her leg out. I checked her out again yesterday and I found a little red patch on her leg that’s a little swollen. I gave her an epsom salt bath and put on a bandaid with Neosporin, I also gave her some Nutri-drench. What could this be? Thank you!!

What do you feed, including treats?

I'd give her 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily. PND doesn't contain any B2(Riboflavin).

You may want to limit her activity for part of the day is she's not doing it herself.
The red area may be from her resting and putting weight on the joint. Possibly a scuffed injury. I'd monitor it daily to see if it's healing.

Right now I’m feeding DuMOR chick starter/grower and sprinkling a little mealworms daily for treats. Occasionally they’ll get fruit/vegetables scraps but they don’t really seem to eat those much for some reason. Next week I’m going to start mixing in layer feed (Layena).

I’ll bring her in tomorrow morning and give her B complex, thank you!
