Chicken limping

Our pet Auracana started limping a few days ago. She seemed better and then started limping again. We don't see anything wrong with the foot. We soaked it with hydrogen peroxide but it didn't seem to help. She is eating and drinking and seems to feel O.K. Any suggestions?

She may have sprained the leg. Examine it for any swelling or redness the entire surface of the leg. If you have a cage, put her in it inside the coop for a week with food and vitamins in her water. After a week watch her walk and decide if she needs more rest. I assume you have examined her foot pad for swelling and the telltale dark spot.

Thanks for the suggestions. Her legs are dark because she is an Auracana. We couldn't see any anomaly on her foot. Her limp is less pronounced today so we hope she is mending whatever happened. I like your idea of putting her inside a cage to rest her leg.
