My little 2 week old Mini (Salmon Faverolle) is having a tough time. She was on the brink of death when we got her from the hatchery but I hovered over her for days (and nights) making sure she ate and drank. She isn't growing as quick as the other chicks but she is eating and drinking on her own no problem. She doesn't walk much and I have been noticing a bit of a limp, like she doesn't want to put her right foot flat. I think she has been like this since we got her. I didn't want to stress her too much so soon after being shipped so I didn't make her walk much, but lately I have been encouraging her to get up and walk. She also likes to sleep on her side with her legs out. Had me so nervous at first! Any suggestions on why she is limping?

Did you check the foot for any abnormalities? She could have bumble foot or maybe even a fractured toe. Hatcheries are very rough with baby chicks.

How's your little chick doing? I have one of 4 that came super distressed and I nursed her with a dropper of electrolyte water off and on all day for the first few days and made sure she ate. Then she perked up and was walking around, albeit drunken like and falling over. Then I noticed several days ago she must have been pecked by one or many of the other 3 baby chicks because her newly growing wing feathers looked picked apart and she was standing on one leg like a flamingo. Next morning she wasn't standing at all. Ughh... I have her isolated from the other chicks who have grown twice her size in these 2 short weeks and she is not walking or limping any more. Not sure what to do other than back to trying to nurse her to health... no blood or obvious injuries for why she is no longer progressing in her walking. Saw your post and wondering if your chick is ok now, what you found out, and what you did?
