Thanks. Yes. looking into all possible solutions from too much sun to how cold zone 8B can get. We are moving to mid-state reducing our hurricane chances but are looking to cable the coop for that reason.

Cold won't be an issue. Chickens tolerate freezes better than they tolerate extreme heat.

I currently have an inexpensive picnic fly set up over my coop to provide midday sun. We'll do something better once it's in it's permanent place after our house has been delivered.
