Hi everyone,
so this morning i went into the coop to find my black silkie just sitting in the nest. she has been doing this for a few days now and is starting to worry me. So i picked he up, found an egg in the nest, and put her down near some scratch i had just put out to see if she would get more energy. But for a few minutes she just stayed huddled there and didn't move. So i picked her up again and inspected her to see if there was anything unusual going on and sure enough when i flipped her over her breast had lost all its feathers. Is this very bad for the chicken. What should i do about it? How can this be stopped?
thanks for any help!
