We have a 4 year old hen that yesterday we found her in our coop with a really bloody comb so we separated her from the flock and put some hen healer on it. She has been really lethargic and does open her eyes but likes them closed. She seemed better today but she hadn't been drinking or eating. We took her out but she couldn't balance very well. We tried giving her some water but she didn't drink anything. She suddenly started flapping wildly and after a couple minutes she went limp and her breathing became super light. We don't know what to do.

Sorry about your hen.

Can you please post photos?

How did you give the water, drop by drop with a syringe, dipping the beak or?

Do you think she aspirated some water?

It does sound like she's on her way out. Do you know if she was attacked by her flock or by a predator? If by the flock, she may have been sick already and was hiding it well.

If she's not received any fluids in 24hrs or more, then she's likely dehydrated. Giving a bit of sugar water may be helpful, but the bird has to be conscious enough to be able to swallow it.
