Hello everyone! I'm new to the community and can't wait to gain more knowledge for my growing flock. It is a small humble flock but hoping to grow. We currently have an Americauna Rooster, 2 Americauna Hens, and 1 Leghorn Hen. I had more but the coyotes around here are recently relentless unfortunately. Don't worry we will keep up a diligent fight for our flock.

Ohh Large Guard Dog, we have 2 pits that are friendly to the flock but they roam the property. Its only when the dogs are inside that I loose a bird...

Actually, the acronym stands for Livestock Guardian Dog. One of the most common breeds considered LGD are Great Pyrenees. They stay with the livestock 100% of the time and are not really considered pets.
