We started off raising eight chicks who have been laying for almost 2 months now, and now we're considering adding a few more! What's hilarious is that I'M the animal lover, but my parents came to me and asked me to find them more chickens! Haha.

So we've been checking out the Chick Inn here in Oregon, and think we're going to get 3-4 from them. Considering a Barnavelder, White Leghorn, Americauna (blue eggs), and a Wellsummer all which are 10-11 months old already. Anybody have any information on these breeds? How difficult should it be to add 4 to a flock of 8? These will be the last birds we get unless we build a new coop, since that will max us out at 12...but that's alright!

There is a link at the top of the page that says BREEDS. Try that if you need info on a breed.
