does the tortoise snap at the chickens?

No, the tortoises don't really care about the chickens and vice-versa. The only real problem I have is one of my Aussies who thinks she has to snap at the tortoises to herd them. She doesn't understand that there's no way she's herding them in the first place, let alone by snapping at them. :)

ACD? I have one. Well, she's a mix. Tries to herd me to the food dish when she knows time.:gig

Had to cull one of the Orloffs this morning. Could't stand, neck was bent over, was in obvious pain. Feel like crap now. It had to be done, and I held it and comforted it as best I could as it passed on, but I hate this.

Tossed all the broody girls out and collected 70 eggs. 42 of them were some stage of "fertile" so they're in the 'bator.

This goober is the first one to make it longer than a week. He's a barred Rock / Blue American Bresse hybrid. He's going to look quite handsome I think, so he'll be really ewasy to rehome. The smaller one behind him, not quite sure yet what it is.

Said batch of broody broads I kicked out of the coop.
