So when I decided to get chickens in the first place I thought 5 hens and a roo...

3 months later... I have 13 chickens total.

I have 11 hens and 2 roos. Is this too many roos per hens?

Both my roos are bantam -don't know if that matters- .
One is a mexi game cock mix and the other is a game hen mix(with feathered feet).
4 bantam game hen mix -I think-.
3 leghorns.
1 EE.
1 EEmix.
2 Black star.

I put them in when everyone was going up to roost. I guess we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

1 roo for your hens would be best... especially in a coop... free range you might get away with it if one is a follower.

good luck with your birds.

I like the getting 8-10 more hens idea...maybe I'll top off my chickens at 20...

So far the new roo seems to be submissive. The other roo does go after him, but he trys to run away. So I guess that's ok. They dont seem to be bothering the hens much at all.
