Here are the new chicks.
Oh and let's not forget the 5 week old Light Brahmas, Jacqueline and Marian. They were my first babies. I also picked up 3 Black Jersey Giant pullets that we named Sunny, Autumn, and Summer.
But on to the really itty bitty ones. I got 2 SLW a week and a half ago. They were at Elaine's house for a week while I did other things before I brought them home. There was also a BSL I requested. I was getting a Mille Fleur chick but it was soooo tiny that it just got trampled. Out of the 4 Mille Fleur chicks she ordered one died from suffocation we're pretty sure. They all just step on each other. There was no pasty butt nothing. So we had decided anyway for her to keep all the Mille Fleur together.
I went to the feed store with my friend to pick up her light brahmas she ordered. I thought the guy said they just came in so they were in the bin. So I grabbed 2 light Brahmas. They had standard Araucana Pullets too so I grabbed 2 for her and 2 for me. I am not sure if they Araucana will truly be Araucana. We'll see if they have rumps later.
So this is what happened. Little did I know she was in the back getting her 2 Light Brahma's while I was picking through the bin. I was also busy educating new chicken people coming to pick chicks out. So I ended up with 6 Araucana pullets and 2 light Brahmas in my box. When we dumped them all neatly into a brooder box at her house I wasn't in the room to notice. I was outside with the new 9 week old girls. we were splitting up the 5 (I kept 3). I came in to collect my chicks and noticed 4 light Brahma chicks and 6 Araucana chicks. Uh oh. they all just blended so neatly in that little box! So I had to take the Light Brahma chicks I picked out home and 4 Araucana chicks. so now I have a total of 14 birds.
Here are the chicks

Olive
Victoria
Selena

Yup I remember all their names they all have some identifiable marking or facial feature that makes it easy for me. I will continue to say their names to them when I pick them up so I can see the changes and still remember their names.
so the EE or Araucana and the Light Brahma chicks were born Monday and the SLW and BSL chicks were born the Monday before, they are 1 week older.
oh, and did you know chickens turn into bunnies which also do math?
Meet Sir Lancelot (the grey/brown) and King Arthur (white tan)
what did I do! LOL
Oh and Eleanor was named after the chubby chipette and she's my favorite chick so far.
My daughter rubbing Eleanor's belly, which Eleanor LOVES!
