I know there are tons of DIY coop designs out there, and with places like Habitat for Humanity Restore, Craigslist, and Letgo it’s very easy to find building materials cheap or even free in some cases. We built our first coop out of pallets we got for free, the only thing we spent money on was the hardware (screws, bolts, hinges, latches, etc). So if you’re on a budget, it may be worth looking into that, or even checking Craigslist etc, for cheap sheds or other structures you could convert into a coop
