In the beginning: 8 chickens from a neighbor who was moving in Oct 2016. I balked and procrastinated. Now I feel like a Snowball rolling downhill Scary when you aren’t sure how many you have Yep. Chicken math. Eclectic array of chickens: Barred rock, RIR, Cochins, Wyandotte, Buff Orp, Polish, Maran, EE, Bantam Roo, Jersey Giant Roo and recently added 3 ducks. Also just got 3 Langschen hens. What characters THEY are Also have a Lone guinea stray that just moved in. He thinks he’s a chicken now. Not sure why it took me so long. Had them as a kid on the farm.
Also have kids and grandkids near and far. Single, hobby farm close to town, started my own business last April, Christian, love to ride my motorcycle. Have 3 cats and 2 horses.
Life is GOOD! God is GOOD!

G’Day from down under Snorb59 :frow Welcome!

Great intro and nice flock! :clap

Personally I have a defense mechanism against chicken math, it is called 'Local Regulations' ;)

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week articles which I have found to be a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Thank you so much for the tips! I will DEFINITELY check them out! I have FB friends “down under”. Visiting there is the first thing on my “bucket list”!

I am sure you would enjoy that; it is a beautiful country! Words of warning though, do not visit in our summer, especially the northern parts ;)
