Chicken Math

So I ordered 6 RIR and 6 Black stars= 12 go away for morning come home to 12 more black star = 24 now to add some colour to my basket oh boy!! I need to build a coop addition

I wanted 5 layers ONLY, three and a half months later there are 17 feathered lifeforms sharing the expanded coop & runs & brooder oh my. But using simple chicken math we see that A:chicks don't count, B:broodys don't count, Cullets don't count, and D: ornamental chickens &/or bantam don't really count... basically the only kind that count are any actively laying hens, so technically I only have 3-4 chickens on any given day. Since I originally wanted 5, I should probably get one or two more....


And it's good to know I'm not alone
