Since criminals don't follow the the laws... the government doesn't follow the laws...even the president doesn't follow the laws, why should any of us follow them?

Hey everyone! Can I join? Chicken math has gotten me good! I started with 14 chicks last spring. We had a disaster and the dog killed them all so we had to start over, this time with 17. They grew into a beautiful flock :) A year and a half, several broodies and two incubators later, my husband told me I have a limit of 30...so I have 29 now and 4 chicks coming in a couple weeks lol. We also added turkeys and have 8 of them with a new tom coming in a couple weeks lol. Yep, chicken math, it's real.
 
I have 15 acres in the middle of a Duck Unlimited owned quarter. Dont know if there is a law to total number of poultry owned. Dont care.
Did subtraction yesterday of 17 and lost a beauty of a chick last night. Cause unknown( I hate when you find a dead bird and there seems to be no reason for it). So total number going into winter is 137 chickens, 17 guineas and 43 ducks. Its a little high but some will be going to auction in the spring.

I'm still such a newbie, but I figured out that I'm bad at chicken math on Day 1, today. Went in planning to get 3 baby girls. Came out with five girls and a rooster chick. :P
 
Hahaha, I kind of hope so. In a weird way, I'm kind of hoping that with the rooster (and I might get another....), if we get some baby chicks in the summer...oh well ;)
