Three of Fabio's daughters look like this. Savannah is, as of this morning, the second youngest in the flock. The damp little black chick I just saw under her is now the youngest! They are hatching a day early.

Welcome to BYC! Chicken math does have a way of sneaking up on you, for sure! Do you have any pictures of your flock?

I completely agree! I decided 10 chickens would keep our yard free of ticks. I now have 20 including the rooster and have (I think) 15 chicks on order to arrive mid-July. I only have room for 20 or 25.

8 out, one external pip, I can't see the last egg under her but hope it is hatching too. She's getting sick of me checking on them.
