I have a Russian chicken who has not been acting herself lately. She is walking slow and her back end is sagging and it looks like she has to go to the bathroom. her rear vent was bleeding and producing whitish liquids yesterday, but as far as i know the bleeding stopped. She is eating and otherwise looks healthy. She is around 2 1/2 years old and has been a good layer till this point. Any suggestions with whats wrong and how to help?

I agree with you there might be an egg stuck, but I don't know how to treat it. I would soak her in warm water but either do it in the house and let her dry completely before putting her back outside or do it on a warm day and make sure she doesn't get chilled!

and I also agree with @PrettyChickens15 on the second thing she said try that

Thanks for your help everybody! Does she have a chance of dying if the egg doesn't come out? I also felt her and didnt feel a egg lump, but you never know since I never had experience with this type of stuff....

Could you explain to me what prolapse is?
Prolapse is like haemorrhoids in humans. The treatment is also much the same but it’s important to supplement calcium and it helps to keep the hen in a darkened room to prevent the urge to lay . There is also a possibility of vent gleet when you see a thick whitish discharge. It is treated with antifungal cream. A pic would help .
