I really need some advice from established chicken keepers. I'm trying to do as much research as I can before taking on the responsibility of looking after a flock and something I'm slightly concerned about is the transference of mites to our cat.
Obviously the cat won't have access to the run itself...providing though I take the right precautions keeping a close eye on any infestations, and deal with them quickly, is it still likely they can be transferred from our clothing to the household and cat?
I might be worrying unnecessarily, but it's something that's holding me back from taking the next step.
