Almost 15 weeks old. That roo is a big fella! He's starting to mate with the pullets already! Glad there's only one roo in that bunch! Now check out my 11 day olds, if you haven't yet!

Ah, I see. That's pretty nasty! Poor thing! I'm always surprised at how well chickens can heal. Glad that she's on the mend!
I was thinking about putting my 4 week olds with the 14 week olds. Glad I didn't. I've been shuffling the 4 week olds from the basement brooder to the grow out pen all week. Then I gather them up to take them back to brooder at night. The 14 week olds use the grow out coop just to sleep in. Need to make them their own space in main coop with the adults. Weekend project.
