Chicken Myths/Rumors: True or False, Please Share!

We bought 5 silkie chicks last year with my cousin. In a couple of weeks it was obvious that all of them are roosters. But my cousin kept telling me they are hens because they do the egg song Her kids loved them but she had to rehome them anyway

I'd say it's true... relatively speaking, of course. Maybe a little harder than hamsters but probably on par with rats (actually I take that back, I had to stick to a strict schedule with cleaning and free roam time). Less work than dogs for sure, but very different type of care.

I mean in the general sense of...it's harder than anyone would think. Or, more complicated.

Once you get into it, you get used to it.

True! Sometimes. It's not a defining trait though.
But I've seen people deny it until it starts crowing and humping their ankles.

Haha yes. Some of my roosters are so hysteric it drives me crazy But some are cuddly and like getting held (like maybe 7/15)
