Myth/rumor: chickens can't climb
Story: some think they cant climb
True or false: false they sure can climb ive seen chicken climbing out of the fenced in area lol
I agree as I have the same problem over here! :lol:

I noticed pullets seem more able to do it then adults maybe because there are thinner and lighter lol I have wyandottes now so they be to heavy

Yeah, it’s always been the pullets, and espcially my sisters adult SS hen Riju… and her wyandottes.

My California White does indeed fly like a helicopter and gets out of the run when she wants to. I don't worry about her though because she is the only hen I have who is smart enough to fly back in when she's ready.

Myth: Chickens are easy to raise

But this is true -- as long as you give them facilities and food that meet their needs. :)
 
Yes, in my book they are a pain in the butt.

I do not like flighty breeds.

I don't know that I'd want an entire flock of Chipotle clones, but I intend to always keep at least one in the flock -- unless I move to an all purebred flock of some kind.

Exactly, most of our flock is either Easter egg or red sex link mix, the best mix in my book! :) Some purebreds.

I am not a bantam Cochin person however, with some exceptions. :lol:
